If you've spilt bleach on a carpet, all might not be lost—yet. You need to act fast to minimize the damage. As soon as possible, use warm water and a paper towel to blot the area. Don't scrub it as this may embed the stain deeper or spread it around the carpet and worsen the damage. Add 1/4 of a tablespoon of dish soap to a cup of warm water and apply it to the affected area. Leave it on for around 5 minutes and let it dry. Then, scrub the area with a sponge whilst being careful not to spread the stain. Finally, rinse the area with cold water and let it dry. Hopefully, this will solve the problem, but if it doesn't it may be time to seek out a professional carpet cleaning service in Norwich.
